Cédric Foussier

Biography

Cédric Foussier is a radiologist based in Paris. Self-taught artist, he discovered plastic photography and decided to apply it to radiology.

The management of light is essential in creating an image. In photography, mastering it is crucial. In radiology, however, light does not exist, it must be created. Since light cannot penetrate our skin, a radiological image cannot be overexposed or underexposed.

Through a unique and singular process of plastic radiology, he creates abstract or figurative images that deviate from traditional medical imaging. Alternating between photographic and radiological media, he designs graphical objects whose finishes deliberately challenge both the eye and the mind.

Particular attention is given to the choice of medium/glass.
Transparent surfaces expose the subjects, revealing their essence. Opaque surfaces preserve their intimacy and mystery.
