Biography

Cédric Foussier is a radiologist in Paris. Self-taught, he discovered plastic photography and decided to apply it to radiology.

Light management is essential to the creation of an image. In photography, it's vital to master it. In radiology, it doesn't exist - you have to create it.

As light cannot penetrate our epidermis, we cannot over- or underexpose a radiological image.

Through a singular creative process of plastic radiology, he creates abstract or figurative images, relatively far removed from the realm of conventional imagery.

Alternating between photographic and radiological mediums, he creates graphic objects whose finishes deliberately challenge the eye and the brain.

Particular attention is paid to the choice of container. Transparent to expose subjects, opaque to protect their privacy.
